On May 7, a special matchmaking event titled “Design Empowering Safety and Emergency Equipment,” hosted by the Hunan Provincial Industry and Information Technology Affairs Center, was held at Hunan YourField Special Protective Equipment Co., Ltd. The event used industrial design as an entry point to promote collaboration among government, industry, universities, and research institutions and to support high-quality development of the safety and emergency industry.

Deng Guangliang, Party Secretary and Director of the Center, led the delegation. Representatives from the Industry Policy and Regulation Department of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Center, Hunan Tongtian Industrial Design Innovation Center, university design experts, and industrial design organizations participated. Li Xianjin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Xiangtan Municipal People’s Government, chaired the symposium, and staff from the Xiangtan Bureau of Industry and Information Technology also attended.

At the start of the event, the expert team toured the company’s new product display to learn about YourField’s latest R&D achievements and technical highlights in safety and emergency equipment. During the matchmaking symposium, experts provided systematic recommendations for the company’s four needs: product function, appearance, process, and brand upgrading. They suggested going deep into front-line operating scenarios to experience real pain points, involving workers and engineers in design, evaluating products from safety, cost performance, and user experience perspectives, expanding the consumer protective market to improve public brand awareness, and strengthening cooperation with universities to leverage academic resources. The two sides reached preliminary intentions around product innovation, design upgrading, and brand enhancement.

Deng Guangliang noted that industrial design is a key engine for industrial transformation and upgrading and an important model of modern services. It plays a significant role in improving the added value, technology content, and market competitiveness of safety and emergency equipment. This event was a targeted service action by the industry and information technology system and reflected the working approach of government guidance, enterprise leadership, university support, and institutional collaboration. He said the provincial industry and information technology system will fully support YourField in design upgrading, deeper university-enterprise cooperation, and innovation platform development, helping the company grow faster into a national leader in safety and emergency equipment and contribute more to the industry.

The event injected new momentum into YourField’s product upgrading and brand enhancement and explored an effective path of design empowerment and collaborative innovation for Hunan’s safety and emergency industry.
